Dengue Cases on the Rise: Recent Statistics and Trends

According to recent statistics, the total number of dengue cases reported in 2023 stood at 6550, while in 2024, the number increased to 6559. The total fatalities due to dengue in 2023 were reported as 16, which decreased to 11 in 2024. Currently, in 2024, there are 36 admissions due to dengue. The hospitals treating dengue patients include Holy Family Hospital, Benazir Bhutto Hospital, Rawalpindi Teaching Hospital, and various private hospitals. These statistics highlight the ongoing issue of dengue cases in the region, emphasizing the need for continued vigilance and preventive measures.
