PTI Warned Against Holding Protest on Feb 8 Amid International Cricket Match

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has issued a stern warning to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) against holding a protest on February 8, a day when an international cricket match is scheduled to take place in Lahore. The PTI had planned to stage a protest on that day, which coincides with the Champions Trophy match. Naqvi stated that the government will request the PTI to cancel the demonstrations, but will take strict action if they proceed with the protest. This warning comes as part of the government's efforts to address public grievances and improve public services. The government has been implementing large-scale reforms to tackle issues such as illegal immigration, human smuggling, and fake documents. In fact, major reforms are planned for the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Faisalabad and Gujrat to tackle these issues. The government is also taking strict action against those attempting to travel abroad illegally using fake documents and against agents involved in human smuggling. The situation is being closely monitored, and the government is prepared to respond accordingly if the PTI proceeds with the protest.
