IDEAS 2024 in Karachi: Key Highlights

The IDEAS 2024 defence expo in Karachi has drawn significant attention with the attendance of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir. The event, which is taking place from November 19 to November 22, 2024, at the Karachi Expo Centre, has showcased the defence capabilities of 36 countries, with 17 of them participating for the first time. A total of 557 exhibitors, comprising 333 international and 224 domestic, are present at the event. The exhibition has also seen the unveiling of a new UAV model named Shahpar-III, which is capable of operating at an altitude of 35,000 feet for over 24 hours, equipped with munitions such as bombs, missiles, and torpedoes. Additionally, there are 300 foreign delegates from 53 countries in attendance, highlighting the global interest in the event.
